Summer Residency

THE SUMMER RESIDENCY IS An 11-13 WEEK COMMITMENT FROM JUNE - AUGUST. THE PROGRAM SUITS THOSE WHO ARE SELF-DIRECTED, DETAIL ORIENTED AND COMMUNITY MINDED. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE WILLINGNESS TO WORK HARD AT STUDIO MAINTENANCE AND ORGANIZATION AS WELL AS ASSISTING CLAY CAMP INSTRUCTORS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AGES 6-14. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FULL 11 WEEKS OF THE RESIDENCY TERM. THERE ARE NO CAMPS THE LAST WEEK, AS THIS TIME IS FOR HELPING TO FINISH, GLAZE, FIRE, AND BOX KID’S WORK.

Studio Assistantship

The spirit and programs of Odyssey are based on the philosophy that every individual's creative capacity is greatly enhanced by a generous community and challenging instruction. The intention of the Studio Assistant Program is to provide progressive students with an opportunity to enrich their educational experience while working within a stimulating studio environment. The program emphasizes education through classes, workshops, lectures, critiques and community.

Long term Artist Residency

The Resident Artist Program offers a stimulating learning environment for advanced, self- directed students and recent graduates to experiment and explore their passion for clay. It is our intention to provide a supportive creative atmosphere for emerging artists to take their work to the next level. The program encourages artists to work as a synergistic community to accelerate their personal and professional development in the ceramic arts.

Rising Star Youth Internship

This is a brand new offering from Odyssey ClayWorks for younger folks who have aged out of our kids programs, but are interested in learning more about the ceramic field and picking up some fundamental studio knowledge from the best in the biz! The program is designed for Young persons between the ages of 15-17 who are looking to learn and gain studio access in exchange for a weekly 2 hour shift shadowing one of our experienced ceramic artists.
