Odyssey ClayWorks is a large ceramics school, gallery and working studio that hosts a wide range of pottery classes and ceramics workshops for adults and children. Artists from across the country and from all levels of experience come to Odyssey ClayWorks for challenging instruction, creative inspiration and connection with community. The studio is a state-of-the-art, 5000 square-foot former warehouse in Asheville's Historic River Arts District.
Our Mission is to make a difference in the life of our community by opening the diversity of ceramic traditions to all of its members. Our classes and workshops cover a range of topics, from beginner wheel, to figure sculpture, flowerpots, porcelain and more. From hobbyists to professionals, our classes are sure to challenge and inspire artists of all levels. Unique to our studio are professional development for K-12 teachers, a free therapeutic program for Veterans, a residency for early career ceramic artists, mentoring for high school students and award-winning programming for children.

Odyssey's Director, Gabriel Kline was awarded the Biltmore Beacon 40 Under 40 Leadership Award. This prestigious award honors emerging stars of the business community in the greater Asheville area.

The Odyssey ClayWorks Gallery is a large exhibition space with an impressive variety of pottery and ceramic sculpture on display year round. The current show features works from Instructors, Resident Artists, Studio Assistants, and Odyssey students, as well as the work of Odyssey Director, Gabriel Kline.
Gallery Hours are Monday- Sunday 10am-6pm.
